the colorful grave markers in the 'Merry Cemetary' in Sapanta created by
Ion Stan Patras in the Northern area of Romania where clever and often
humorous facts of one's life are carved on the crosses in poetry or
prose to express the most important events in the life of the

Sighisoara is considered to be
one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe. Walls and
towers encircle 16th century homes and churches set along cobble stoned
streets. Its citadel is on UNESCO's World Heritage Site
list. Quaint animated figurines strike the hour high up on a 17th
century clock tower. In Sighisoara is the home where Prince Vlad
Tepes, also known as Vlad the Impaler, or Count Dracula as depicted in
the book written by Bram Stoker, was born. The building now houses
a charming restaurant. |
